' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' 'Bonkers About Conkers(For Ruthie) - Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Bonkers
about
conkers.

She stuffs 'em
into pockets
sacks....buckets.

Any damn thing
...you name it!

it's like an invasion
from another planet

taking over our home
open the wardrobe and...aghhhhhhhh!

their spikey cases

surreal little hedgehogs
alien creatures.

'Baby
in a Mummy! '
she explains.

Her fingers giving birth
to yet an other...

Bonkers
about
conkers
