Bony But... Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Bony But...

Bony but…

Each of us in own car
-we drive and stop
-side by side

Each is book of textile
-to be read, verified

Separate, in own mind

To me she:
-is bony with long face
-small nose, almost invisible
-that makes her flat face
-like tick wood on a wall
-or painting on canvas

Prospects have no depth!

Doubtlessly is aware and smart
-has grown her hair long
-divided, spread on the sides
-flat face now looks round

Proper her makeup
-pale skin with shiny lip stick
-brownish her cream and pancake

I reject to have her as mine and partner
-but she has my respect, attention, desire

She can be a wife or girlfriend
-to one who does not so consider…

What does she think of me?
She knows and I do not!
