Bookish Poem by diana rose tolentino

Bookish

Rating: 4.0

There is a sheer pleasure in reading
And letting the story takes you away.
But more often than not,
The story takes you in.

You can feel the joy,
You can feel the pain
As if it is your story
Being portrayed in every page

It can make you laugh.
It can make you cry.
And no one will think
You lost your mind.

In your vein the letters run.
It makes your blood hum.
And when you reach the conclusion,
You will open another one.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It is not initially a poem. It is my actual thought about reading, especially novels. Then I realized I've been thinking in verses, so why not?
