Boomer Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Boomer

Boomer

In times I feel sorry to have lived
-for this long

I was born after war
-then, parents had no job
-except nights…

Therefore they played games
-to have toys, made us come

"The Boomers" we are called…
-rapidly we approach end of life
-every day someone dies…

We witnessed the "Cold War"
-The US-Russian fights
-both of them using us
-with their lies, slogans…
-"This is bad! ", "That is bad! "
-"The Atheist Soviets have no God, "
-"God is the opium for brainwash, "

In that way they tore us
-made borders, capitals,
-and endless flags with
-governments and anthems

To make, sell tanks and guns
-raised walls and many bars
-divisions are bullshit…
-all are same…
-they stink, feel stench

Now is time for terror
-of the tongues
-and drones
-and knives-guns

Wish was not ever born
-deeply I feel ashamed
-look for death; hope to die…

for whom is it well, for who is it well, there is no one in this world for whom it is well. Every age creates terror and bogeymen. Since the rise of civilizations there has always been waring factions, we are no different then bands of monkeys fighting different factions. I say enjoy that which you can. Lovely work.
