Born A Lady Poem by Irene C S ClarkHogg

Born A Lady

Rating: 5.0

If a woman is a lady
Then things will always be the same
For time won’t change her elegance
Her poise and beauty will remain.

An example of good manners
And propriety is assured
Regardless of life’s station
Be she rich or very poor

A gentlewoman holds the attention
Of men, both youth and sage
For her inner beauty bathes them,
Regardless of her age.

Though lines may mar once flawless skin
Her head will still be held up high
For a woman who is a lady
Remains a lady until she dies.

Beautifully said, well penned, Irene.. I just love these lines... For her inner beauty bathes them, Regardless of her age.
