Born A Sinner! Poem by Long Tooth

Born A Sinner!

Rating: 5.0

Though "born a sinner" may sound wrong, it's sound theology,
Christ says "Faith saves but not your works" the truth is there to see!
If sin's God's absence in your heart, a baby's sin's the worst,
A baby's always me, Me, ME! How could it not be cursed?
And cursed Child is (but not by God) , cursed by its very birth.
What's Nature born is bound to die, the fate of even earth.

But faith in God does offer hope, though human works are vain,
Faith's evidence can free the heart from doubting logic's chain
For faith will live in works of love, if God exists or not,
A will to always serve what's right, not God controlling plot!
Can you divorce your life from fear that death will be your end?
If so, then Christ is in your heart. His faith is yours, my friend!
