Bound And Chained Poem by Tamisha Renea Bellamy

Bound And Chained

Rating: 5.0

Young child of many others/fostered to foster many others
Maternals carry out duty and responsibility, no matter the age/
The baby butterflies hatch from their cocoon before the Lord has strengthened their wings/weaknesses of the chosen virgin baby girl must hide
Bound and Chained with no room of her own to discover/to confront their discomforting/their twisted conformity
She shall grow with age and forever be bound and chained by her inner child
too afraid to raise her wings/to seek her wildside
What is to become of this fourty-three year old woman who was taught only real women sacrifice their virginity for the sake of the Lord/for the family to thrive
If she gets her fill, guilt shall be her everlasting consumption
Is all what her maternal elders taught her/ to give abundantly to He and accept nothing for yourself
Just imagine a mother who is addicted to being in labor
Oh what a favor for the pitiful/for the spoiled/for all the selfish little people who will be bound and chained in ignorance long after their mother made her final great escape
