Breach The Walls Poem by Joseph Lee

Breach The Walls

I look around these foreign walls
And find only a sliver of hope
I look around to find a source of light
But find only the smallest hole

I am encased in my own beliefs
I am lost within these walls
Is this what my future holds?
Have I got it all wrong?

The words of so many people
Quote the sacred book
With so many that believe in Him
Why have I not found my way?

I am scared and confused
These walls seem to be closing
I try to put my belief in mind
But it appears that I am losing

I look around to find my hope
And I stick it in the hole
I realize the walls are shaking
To the ground these walls do fall

I stand out in the open air
With light shining all around
With self doubt, I close these walls
But with faith I tear them down.

very true...how often is it that we find ourselves trapped in a creation of our own, in a panic to escape...as we create our own problems, we must solve them by ourselves...well written and reasoned, you attempted in inser rhyme in many places... -Leslie Ching-
