Usually you can’t shut me up
But oh how words fail me
When it comes to the subject
Of that thing called love
How does one begin to explain
Something so old and primal
More a feeling than a thought

Shall I compare you to something?
Talk of butterflies and hearts
What ever I write of
It could never truly capture it
For whenever you are around
The whole world disappears
And all is bright and right

For a moment in my life
There is no more anguish
No more sadness and troubles fade away
Whenever you are around
You breathe life into me
You helped me discover
There is life within this withered soul
