Breath Of Spring Poem by fraidoon warasta

Breath Of Spring

breath of spring
i can hear
in a magpie's song
i can see
the breath of spring
i can see her in the middle of time
standing ready in her pink dress
i was about to catch the glimpse of
the winter, never occurred
but suddenly it came

too early though
i can hear the breath of spring
winter gone on a lengthy journey
while banner of grass
risen
eyes getting prepared
for the blossom festival
in the air
scent of moist soil
ripples
rain water abundantly deep
touching the pivot of earth
water level can reach
even the milky way
earth is content and sky happy
for now

i hear the breath of spring
this old lady
blooming, blushed
getting younger and wiser
by each year
she knows how to live on
by dying constantly

the vibes of bird songs
dominating the air
so does the dazzling willow

in the sanctuary of nature
i hear the scent of spring
wake up!
before the moos of time
stumbles on your feet
wake up!
it's time to observe
this poetic painting

now, i am at peace
with tiny buds and leaves
i don't want others
to offer me kindly
dusting the tile of my seclusion

my cat told me
he can hear the scent of spring
scorning me that i've forgotten
to prune the pear tree

i can hear
her evasive breath

let her display
her curves on the hills
through the coiled rivers
and raising hay fever

wishing her to stay here
being my perpetual guest
i would persistently keep her here
but it'll slip away
through fingers of time
with her blossom
with no desire
spring, unlike us
wants to be free

interchangeably
this falling and rising of seasons
this impermanence
would never change

again i would forget to prune the pear tree
maybe? next year
