Breathe
By Mona Mia

I'm over it like the skin on my skeleton
Over it like the apple of my eye
Over it like the heavens above the sky
I'm over the hold, The hurt and the problems
I'm over the vision of us, the one worth mere gold.

I'm over us. I'm over you.
But damn do I feel like a fool
A damn fool for falling back into the trap of you
The trap of love, love and passion
The trap of hate, after the romance is passing
It's a sad remote feeling we all seem to share
When we know that heartache Is nearly, if not already there
A sense of commotion comes inside our brains
Telling us something’s just never will be the same.

A tragedy indeed, need I proceed?
Proceed to explain to you the pain within deeds
Deeds of desist, deeds of pessimists
Pessimists of love of which I've become
'Cause I’ve been way too optimistic
Up to this tug
Now it's a rebirth, a sad one it may be
But it's necessary just like the suns and the seas.

I never hated you I only wanted to be freed
Freed from the pain you gave to me
And now that it's over and fairly done
I have many regrets but can't name one
Though you hurt me beyond belief
It seems I needed,
I needed you to breathe.

Hi Mona..there is a deep sense of pain and hurt and I am sure must be related to something in real life..words are little...what should say jerky and the poem could be made little more endearing if it connects the reader to you but for a 15 year old..sorry for using the term.its quite matured..would you like to interact..also do comment on my poems..poets name is Nitin Suresh
