Breathing Once Again Poem by Brandon Lucero

Breathing Once Again

Pet grief
a friend to me
what matters now
your rarest needs

Spoke to powers
greater than us
on my knees
sacred trust

Judging you so very hard
now I carry heavy scars
tumbling against time
fell into infinite sublime

Feeling always came and went
swore our love was heaven sent
gratitude washed casually
grudges proved too heavy

It's another day to sigh
lungs replete with heaven
hearts alive with special 7's
life's the greatest high
