Let The Ashes Rise Poem by Brandon Lucero

Let The Ashes Rise

Rating: 4.0

Drifting in and out
Sometimes all about, the, life
Vanity myth you built today
Oh let the ashes fall
And let the ashes dance
She strides through your perfect lenses
Sensing opportunity all the while
Giving pause, taking love
Oh let the ashes rise
Help me baby, help me baby, don't stop loving me
Around your leg my arms hold our love
Tight as a drum, forever
You ain't goin' anywhere
Sometimes we look up, night sky dances
Twinkle, twinkling star
Don't stop cause I won't let you
Oh let the ashes rise, help me please, help me baby, help me maybe
Walk over in the sun, get over on anyone, miles piling up
You're road tested, you beautiful creature
Oh my heart, oh my heart pounds, oh my heart explodes with love
I never stopped loving you
Any day now, any day now, loving every minute of it
Oh let the ashes rise, help me please, help me baby, help me baby,
help me maybe

Brandon, You set free the lover within to speak openly and candidly, with a dash of ego for good measure. A vivid look at love...come and gone. ROTMS
