Bring The Piper Poem by Charles Jagongo

Bring The Piper

Rating: 5.0

Ecstatic she made them, her melody had honey
Like a song bird, the reeds did her heart
Her ankles did jingles, bodies likes slaves obeyed
Let the piper here, bring the piper here.

The Sun is up, sweat runs down
Wind blows dirt, steep valleys I cross
Yonnder and away, far horizonstretches
Learnt her forte, voyages dwarfy grows

Sky and bright stars, smoky clouds pass
Lit are season fires, eager bodies and voicess gather
So paired are feet, drums set and ready
Bring her here, we dance this night all.

Re-oiling joints here made, all here for slumber
Hyenas laugh in forests, mountains wait in silence
Weaver bird dreams in nest, Lion licks her paws
New dawn sets the stage, bring the piper here.
