Britain - Autumn 2009 Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Britain - Autumn 2009

I repeat an old familiar phrase:

*Spring forward and Fall back*
This never ceases to amaze ~
in my head from younger days
now nothing do I lack
for like an old sweet melody
it returns 'again' to rescue me...

*Spring forward and Fall back*

In Britain, clocks are changed
2 a.m. Sunday morn 25 October;
just say goodnight, and dim
the light... the hands go back!
So sleep until the morning light.
How quickly hours come and go
This is the Status Quo.
