Raakhi Mittal

Broken - Poem by Raakhi Mittal

You told me fairy tales
of princesses and dragons
of spun gold
and heroic deeds

But the magic is gone
the mirror's broken
we've left behind gray days
and blurry dreams

Swim in salty tears;
shadowy bitterness
and an imp that
lives in dread.

    I love this poem. It is beautifully constructed; you have a lot of talent. It is very inspiring. I especially love the fairytale theme. It totally grabs you in from the first line: ] (Report)Reply
