Broken Poem by Kerri Foxx

Broken

Once when I was a little girl
My hair was up in big pig tails
I had pretty bows
I was full of love
My only pet, a pure white dove
I was very pure
I was very clean
I brought bullies down
'Cause there's no need to be mean
But then I grew up
Found out there's no time
That life's a ticking bomb
I tried to find love
Tried to be the best there is
But then I caught him
With my one and only best friend
Now my heart is broken
Torn into pieces
The old me has shattered
It was time for me to come out of my cocoon
I grew black wings and only flew under the moon
The nice girl is no more
Never mess with me
Because you try one time
And strike three you're out
It's time for war...
