Nothing But A Test Poem by Kerri Foxx

Nothing But A Test

Rating: 3.5

Life's a luxury
You don't really need it
It's the afterlife we're going for
Because the time in life is receding
That's where the peace is at
the calm after the storm
Where you sing out in rejoice
Instead of always mourn
But there's one thing some are afraid of
The fiery pits of Hell,
not knowing whether you'll make it
Not knowing if you've failed
So there are others out there looking for a way out
It's called immortality
A way they can't be killed
But that could be another punishment too
Because it could also mean an eternity of solitude
Everyone may not be able to take,
the immortal 'potion, ' that is
And what if immortality means goodbye to having kids
Life is a luxury, reality, a test
All you have to do is pass it
Then you can walk through those Golden Gates
And the treasures waiting amiss
