Broken Poem by Jack Midknight

Broken

Rating: 5.0

Hello everyone,
Have you ever loved someone?
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Could you tell from what's day and what's not night?
I'm sure you have, everyone has, except me because I am so sad,
Have you heard that bump-bump inside to start,
I haven't because I have a stone cold heart,
I used to have a heart to pump out blood,
But now it's just stone, moss, and mud.
Why should I love, when no one loves back?
That's it! I won't, I'll turn my heart pitch black.
Do you feel my anger?
Do you feel my pain?
Do you see my path?
NO! because all it is is mist and black rain.
I am a pianist playing forever, breaking my bones
For every time I hit a high note.
But when the song ends I play it again,
Until I am dead,
Dead on night end.
Do you see my eyes,
My dead red eyes that begin to die?
No you don't, you just see a smile,
Because who would want to see something else so vile?
And now you see, my smile has died,
now you get to see the side of me that's cyanide,
I hope the people who are also sad,
don't stay sad,
because that was the only feeling I ever had,
my appreciation is now a token,
because people now know,
that I am broken.
