Cried a river over broken dreams
Have even lost my self esteem
Tried to move on but my reverie of you still gleams
It's so hard not to think of you; it's so hard to forget you
When all that's in me are the memories of you
Your beautiful smile; your contagious glee
Your many stories of what has had and what could be
So affable, bearing beauty not just from outside but also from within
I know I can never forget you, and by God I never will
Though my dream of being with you has been shattered
For reasons that are still not clear
No matter how many times I tried and failed
No matter how many times my dream is broken
I’ll still carry on rebuilding, I'll still continue restoring
For it is for you that I am building these broken dreams
