Broken Heart Poem by Deepa Chandran

Broken Heart

Rating: 4.5

My heart sinking…
While my mind robbing graves..
Tears streaming down my cheeks
I don’t hear your voice..
I don’t see the expressions…
I don’t hear my pounding breath..
Thousand knives stuck into me..
Millions of broken pieces..
Each an image of myself..
Never to be put back together…

The poem reminded me of Humpty Dumpty's great fall. A good depiction of heartbreak, well articulated, nicely encapsulated, and insightfully penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing Deepa. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
