Broken Pieces Of My Life Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

Broken Pieces Of My Life

Rating: 5.0

Dear beloved wonderfulfriend, Jesus Christ
Thank you for your free gift of everlasting life.
You freely pardoned my sins. When my life was about to end;
Jesus Christ you were willing and able to listen

And I am so very grateful you were out there,
and promptly responded to my plea.
When I dialed a spiritual emergency call
you honestly loved even me most of all.

Once the shining candlestick was kept burning
bright. You were my love and my key to eternal life.
But then, my candlelight started to dim when
I first turned away.Neglecting your word
and forgetting to pray.

Failure to pray for others, and my self.
Placing myself on my throne of life.
And having no room for either you or
anyone else.

It is far easier for me to acknowledge my
sins than it is to become obedient
by willfully forsaking them.And forever
closing the golden keys to my heart's door.

I have forfeited, I have abandoned you
Lord Jesus Christ.Many would claim
my habitual disobedient heart has cost
me my free gift of everlasting life.

Whenever I do remember to pray, my darkened
clouds of depression fade away. God has
put together the broken pieces of my life.
And of this day April 04,2019,
I rededicate my life to Jesus Christ.
