You promised me forever
but here I am alone
and what we could have been
will forever be unknown

You promised that you loved me
but how can this be true
when we got in fights you'd say
that I never loved you

But love you, I did
with my entire heart
and now I can't prove it
because now we're apart

You always made me feel
like I was your whole life
so when I found you with her
it cut me like a knife

And the one and only thing
that you could really say
was that I never loved you
so it didn't matter anyway

But Love you, I did

but I guess it doesn't matter
because you've torn me apart
