Bruise my soal my dear
And blacken my heart
For I once believed in love
Like a fool
I gave it all to you and now
As the path unfolds before me
I see it all an allusion
I ask god why
Why make up lies
Why promise the moon and the stars
Why pretend to come home
Why make me believe our family would be back together
Why make me believe in you
In us
But that is the past
I should move on
But this aches still linger
And days turn to months and years
And this struggle is so very real
