I sit and wonder
If the pain will pass
So can breathe
For the first time
Your suppose to keep going
And don't look back
What happens when the past
Claws at your back

I don't understand why we are all here
If it's just to be dust in the end
There are just moments
When I awe in wonder
A music note
My sons smile
A dog running free in a park
I don't question it
But the moment is fleeting
And despair is afloat
I must break through
Before I drown in this suffering
There must be more
I must be more to this life
