Buds Of Teenage Love Poem by Kevin Patrick

Buds Of Teenage Love

Rating: 5.0

The first buds...
Of Teenage love
Are as sweet as bliss
And the ambrosia of spring

It's filled with hope
And driving zeal
Found in the
Green of youth
And fresh faced
Innocence

However

Soon that spring
Of teenage love
Will taste nature's humor
And find a fatal mark
That peels away
The sweetness
And leaves
a fragile Bitterness
Of crushed dreams
And rotten hope

And then
That same
Teenage love
Turns swiftly
To poisoned fruit

Watch it
And
Just smile

give time time

Oh give it sweet delicious time

:)

A beautiful poem vividly depicting teenage love. So very true. Teenage love always holds us spellbound. There is always joy and excitement.

Such an incredibly true, and profound, tribute to teenage love. But what a beautiful experience it was while it lasted. I really love this poem, Kevin! Top marks!
