Bugs Poem by April DOWN

Bugs

Up the walls at a perfected velocity
Under my skin at times
Forever tangled in the strands of my hair
Down my fingertips to the table

A visual representation of the
Bugs in my mind
The anomalies in my electrical activity
They are grander in my dreams

I feared them once
In my youth captivated in horror
My expression emulating disgust
Now I know no amount of swatting
Flinching or panicking gains
A solution

They are there
They may always be there
So I will just have to calmly
Accept what is and let them be
