Build It But Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Build It But

Build it but

A poem in building
Has a mind with design
Time ignites, sends signal.

I left home, went to help
Honestly meant to learn
From an old-timer, a doer.

He has made many films
With prize, recognised
Doubtlessly has good eye
Saw some works on his site
Selects the locations, cameras
To frame and angle the good job
With long and medium, close ups
OTS, reactions for fine cuts…

An auteur like Hitchcock
But he does facts of life!

This film too duplicate; a coy
One more and painful, sad
Saint Michael's Hospital
Character, very young
Crippled is the man
Involved was in a gang
Dealt with guns and drugs!

He was caught!
Lost it all!

Got sick and had no card
Health; Drive; any kind!

I was asked: 'translate.'
Surprised with last name
Asked of his relations
I know of his father
A colleague, filmmaker!

Is a fight going on?
