Burden Poem by Kaien Rodrev

Burden

Here we are, sweet emptiness
walking hand in hand
down the path of lonesome melodies
we drift across the land.

Journey forth dear solitude
I send you on your way,
your soft cold rhythms chill my soul
I don't need you, not today.

Endless oceans, violet rain,
all that I hold dear,
fill me with your memories
and rid me of my fear.

If I fall and if I break
please send me on my way,
I could not bear to burden you,
not ever, not today.
