Deadly Rain Poem by Kaien Rodrev

Deadly Rain

Deep inside my conscience
it rains upon my soul
it pierces through my heart
and leaves a dark and burning hole

It tears out all the stitches
I've woven throughout the years
it knocks me down and cuts me
till i'm drenched in blood and tears

The water quickly rises
to an endless sea of gray
I'm so afraid I'll die here
yet too scared to swim away

The flood that forms around me
confirms my end is near
I'm suddenly immobilized
I'm drowning in my fear

Sinking to the bottom
pulled down by liquid chains
the pressure slowly crushes me
till none of me remains

This rain that wrecks my spirit
it makes me go insane
my battered, bloodied, broken heart
defeated by the rain
