Bureaucratic Negative Progress Or Not? Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Bureaucratic Negative Progress Or Not?

Leaders speak, the people wait,
Bureaucratics many,
seals their fate.
A heavy cloud, a creeping dread,
Fear in their hearts, trust now dead.

Green ideas bloom, a costly show,
To win a vote, though seeds won't grow.
Windmills stand on mountains high,
Where nature's peace should never die.

Big factories rise, with empty purse,
For batteries charged, a costly curse.
'Cheap power's near! ' the promise rings,
But cost still bites, no comfort brings.
And clean it's not, as they proclaim,
A hollow hope, a whispered shame.

Water's might, a steady flow,
And silent atom, helps us go.
For us, for Earth, a better way,
To live and thrive, come what may.
Or so we dream, beneath the sky,
As promises fade, and hopes run dry.
