Burn The Books Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Burn The Books

Rating: 3.0

Burn the books

Want a match, as she says
Set fire, explode, shrapnel
My tinder must be books
Everything, to keyboards
That take me to learning
By reading, and writing.

Want them burned to ashes.

They are pain or cause it
Destroy Volcano, lava it.

Have said it time to time:
That "Enough is enough".

Do not write, I won't read
Scooped eye, don't want it
And ears? They must leave.

Some say of pollution
Some of Earth distinction
Some of rape, injustice.

Saw a girl shout ‘topless'
Saw the bombed and blast
Saw those killed and injured.

Hanging on in the air
Used to see Gadflies
Bulbuls sat on roses
Came kind hand secretly
Wiped tears when raining
Tapped shoulder when lonely!

Who took them where are they?

Keep me out of news
These ugly pessimists
Let comets from past
Come bring smile, last
Want some hope as blast.
