Burning Down The Bridge Poem by Lance Carthen

Burning Down The Bridge

Jaded and falling
You are still crawling
Why did you try to fade

Engulfed in yourself
No remorse for the souless
Inside a crystal glass
Why is there so much pain

Bringing it to that destiny in life
With one pass to choose
Te other path to pass

Screaming out to the demons in your mind
Theres nowhere to turn
Nowhere to hide

Chasing and pacing you must get away
Falling and praying before its too late
The sinners in your life
Always carry a big knife
While the wisdom in your head says yove already bled.

Your suicide is so delicous
You manmade world is so fictitous
Slowly still eating the apple from hell
Filthy on your belly, the grounds where you dwell

Ill kiss your ribs with balck pouty lips
The darkness in your eyes fills as you slit your wrist
You hand in my hand.....let us pray

God..take us away from this age
From these days of constant hate
God..why do you try
No matter what they will hate you anyways
The harder you cry
Amen
