Burnt, Trapped, Fallen Poem by Shalyn Stachmus

Burnt, Trapped, Fallen

Rating: 5.0

I seem empty, I know.
But since I met you, I don't know what to do.
I don't know what to say, and I don't know where to go.
But I'll try my best to make this message known.
Will you listen?

If I am burning, will you burn with me?
If I am trapped and cold, will you set me free?
If I lose my grip, start to slip, and fall...
I'm falling.
Will you catch me?

I am foolish, I know.
But fools in love, they don't know what to do.
They don't know how to speak, and they start to fall.
But fools in love have lovers to hear them when they call.
Will you listen?

I am burning, scorched with so much pain.
I am freezing cold, inside this dirty cage.
I am holding fast to what I thought I knew...
Not knowing.
Will you return?
