Bursting The Hearts Seams Poem by Jennifer Rose

Bursting The Hearts Seams

It's wasting time
Precious moments
Breathes of humanity
Keeping the secret
That hasn't been so secret
How obvious I've been
The feelings I have
Rejection around the corner
Hopefully acceptance
The secret can't be kept anymore
Life is too short
I can't keep it in
I gotta say it
The words tease my lips
My heart aches when I deny it
It could be all wrong
Or this might be all I hoped for
Fear of falling
Hope of acceptance
Harmless banter
Innocent looks
I have to tell you
I'm crushing on you
Lying to myself
Not taking the chance
This may just be a dream
Maybe I'll get over it
But no more lying

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's a confession I hope the one person will get. Writing this allowed me a little peace from the crazy thoughts.
