But As I Write Them Poem by Shalom Freedman

But As I Write Them

I have been silent
But now at this moment
I am called from within
I do not know
What these lines will be
Perhaps they are not poetry at all
But as I write them
I am alive again
Something in me is being answered
And I feel as if all I want to do
Is write to the end of these lines
AsI have done now
