Butchered By Hypocrisy

the.Seer of Temple
-with.no faith in the deity-
who, gets flocks of people
to pray and seek God's pity,
displays worst hypocrisy.

on his word they flocked
-lambs unaware of butcher,
their death, simply.hocked-
murdered by, a cool hatcher.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
At a temple in India, about 10 devotees died, after consuming poison-laced 'prasad' given by the temple staff. It is suspected that the Seer of the temple along with a few others conspired this murder, as a revenge on a rival group trying to take control of the temple. Police investigation is in progress.
hypocrisy-'He does not believe that does not live according to his belief' Sigmund Freud
hatcher-figurative. A person who contrives or devises a plot, scheme, etc., especially clandestinely. (Oxford living dictionaries)
hock-When hock is a verb, it usually means "pawn, " or "leave an item in return for a loan of money."Here 'death' is the item which is exchanged.
