Butterflies Poem by Cory Jensen

Butterflies

silence these butterflies
that tremble and
flutter
in the warmth of my mouth
they prance along my throat

and leave more then an impression.

their quarrelling keeps my tongue sweating
in nervous anticipation
they force my lungs to strain
for the breath you steal
when your heart's against mine.

'can you describe this to me
in little phrases? '

tonight I'll let them escape
to the sky of your heart
wehre my words shine
