Butterfly Poem by Inday Prising

Butterfly

(original title is Ever Lasting Friends)
for Elf, my student

Let the butterfly flatter against the mid-afternoon wind
Let her catch the breathe of the breezes
Let her watch the ashes enveloping the sunset
Let her butterfly soar up high above the valley
Let her feel the warmth of the dawn
Let her shiver at the flakes of snow
Let her smile at the blossoming of the daisies and sunflowers

Fascinate her with the crescents of the moon
And let her snoop to the silence's deafening tune

Let her find a pixie that's kind
Let her find a pixie that only forever can bind
