Butterfly Poem by Ali Latife

Butterfly

Butterfly

For the beloved of my heart.
I wail, tear, lastly die.
I in autumn's night, accompany dying leaves.
So drunk, so lost, within her sweet.
From nowhere she arrived.
With wings, so violet and bright.
With scent, beauty, far beyond mind.
My eyes just followed, never minding lilies or sorrows.
I ran all around, joyful by narrow ways of mine.
Such a heaven's butterfly.
I do all, for her to be.
My very endless dream.

Days nor nights, I don't recognize more.
My dawns which sun's rise on.
My dusks which sun's return home.
For horns, it was a circle yellow.
Now not, the shining part is her eyes.
The life of I, for her I give.
I do all for her to be.
My very endless dream.

In a void, in a nowhere world.
My friends and I, all shadows wailed and wept.
Such a vain life of mine, forever be.
In my solitude, I found her in tears.
What a sight, seen only in dreams.
Such a salted bittersweet tears.
Quenched all green, denied all streams.
Her agony, her sorrow, too deep.
I wish I'll take.
For her to feel, alive, awake, finally asleep.
I do all for her to be.
My last immortal dream.
