By Perseverance Poem by Randy McClave

By perseverance I made it to where I am today
From hard work and faith and the many obstacles in my way,
With a steady persistence in a course of action
Especially in spite of difficulties and discouragement I gave more traction.

To my faith and in my belief I gave it my dedication
In state of grace to the end, lead to my eternal salvation,
It gave me stamina, spunk and endurance and also grit
Through all my tragedies it gave me a strength to lift.

The fighter was able to still go another round
Even though he was hurt and then downed,
But, he was able to finish and then he won his fight
All from the determination that he had received that night.

There was persistence in doing something despite difficulty and stress
But, then their was that feeling for achieving success,
Perseverance gave me the desire to run miles around the park
And by perseverance, the snail made it to the ark.
