CALM IS WHO I AM NOW

Calm is who I am now
Calm and quiet-
I have done
What I could do-
The rest is repetition-

Slowly slowly
Time is taking me away-
How long I do not know-
How much pain I do not know-
Calm is who I am now -

Quiet quiet
Before the fears return again
And the anxiety over what I have not done-

Calm is who I am now
In these moments at this hour
Four in the morning
A small part of the long day to come.
