Can I Change The World With You? Poem by Seth Proch

Can I Change The World With You?

Rating: 0.5

This looks alright, alright to me,
Of course I might be wrong,
There's something right about this wrongness,
I've missed you for too long.

You are the woman that I loved,
You're far too far from me,
I took a ride in a great big plane,
To you across the sea.

We slept under the stars some nights,
We saw things great and tall,
We lost ourselves together,
Together lost it all.

The world was new and real and wild,
I've never been so free,
But when the journey ended,
You weren't there with me.

I need to stay in motion,
I cannot be held back,
I'm searching for a something,
A something that I lack.

The world is harsh and cruel and mean,
The people cry at night,
They're bleeding in the alleys,
Tired from the fight.

The children are all hungry,
I hunger just for you,
I've lost all my perspective,
I don't know what to do.
