' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' Can I Quote You On That! - Poem by Dónall Dempsey

“Brevity...”
she pouted

(all Dorothy Parkerish)

“...is the soul
of lingerie! ”

“So, I...see! ”
I said

beside my
self.

“To err
(with you Sir)
is human...”

(she innuendo’d
all Mae Westian)

“...but
it feels divine! ”

I started(slowly) going
out of my(now more quickly) mind.

“Beauty...”

I whispered softly
into the curve of her neck

“...is only
sin deep! ”

And saying so...I seized her.

She came

(I saw)

she
conquered.
