Can't Go Back Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Can't Go Back

If we've made it out the dark
Can you reassure my heart
When you lie
And bear no proof
Hurt leads you down a road to cry

Won't it ever get better here from now?
Haven't I been by your side here on out?
But, baby, do you know how much you take from me?
I've gave this all my energy
Can't go back to a place full of pain

If you've done right there'd be no wrongs
You would have to make amendments for
If I could get the time I've waste
I'd take it back and won't hesitate
