Can We Say Goodbye? Poem by Edwina Reizer

Can We Say Goodbye?

Can we say goodbye and never cry?
Can we walk away and last one day?
Can we see the sun still shine,
just make believe we're blind?
Can we really ever try to say goodbye?

Can we say adieu and think we're through?
Can walk alone, be on our own?
Can we make it through alright
and ever sleep at night?
Can we really ever try to say goodbye?

*** That's a fool's way of thinking.
For this love can never die.
That's a fool's way of thinking,
not for you and I.

Repeat Verse 1

Good byes are for the foolish
that walk away too fast.
Goodbyes are for the lovers
that never make things last.
Goodbye was never made for you and I.
Good bye was never made for you and I.
And that's the only reason,
the only reason why
we will never be able to say goodbye.
