Can you see the pain inside me
When you look upon my face
Can you see that I am hurting
And I feel like a disgrace

Can you see the scars on my legs
And cuts across my arm
Can you see it’s because I’m hurting
That I’m doing myself harm

Can you hear me crying out
When you ask me how I feel
Do you know that when I say I’m ok
It isn’t actually real

Because although I am hiding it
I do wish someone would see
That I really am hurting
And I don’t want to be
