Can You Listen - Poem by Srabanti Guha

Being alone in the dead of night
Looking through the glass panes
In the dark, outside.
Feeling totally forlorn
And out of this world.

My utter cry for a little love from inside,
I find to be sinking in dark.
Deafening sound of the cricket outside
Seem to be laughing at me.

Can You listen to my cry
And extend your hands to me?
I like to live the life,
Not to be sunk in abyss.
