Canvas Poem by Bireswar Halder

Canvas

The glowing sun is about to set,
Busy birds start flying to their nest
Slowly gloominess embraces the earth,
As if two lovers in a dark footpath.

Your promise to live together,
Was a farce as you have left forever,
I have none in this big universe
Except your love which brings tears.

Separation gives me a lot of pain,
Memories aggravate wounds now and then,
It`s not easy to forget you, oh my dear!
Like an insane, I search for you everywhere.

When the atmosphere is calm and quiet
Slowly I close my eyes in the midnight,
And carefully open the canvas in my heart
I introspect your smiling face
That relieves me a lot.

I feel delighted and cheerful,
As shower makes tedious summar cool,
Perhaps you will not come back again,
But your canvas will not pain still I remain.
