Imagine my friend
I'd lost the will, to
Save you by and by.
Retouching the paint
Correcting mistakes
I think I have done.
It carries a weight
Not that I hate, but
One I'd not expect.
Out of the shadows
An image - swept in
Colour - protested
All that vexed my way
Of seeing the Paint,
'Offered a new score.
'Consign this again,
Lovely artist friend, '
Putting paint and brush
In hand, I look to
It and then to friend,
And saw but vacant white..
